Dear Wiccan Facebookers,

Shamrocks are not the same as swastikas, and you are not being oppressed by St. Patrick's day (except in the sense that (Northeastern USA) St. Patrick's Day and its ethnicity-fetishizing-cum-debauchery oppresses us all with hideous shades of green), which is not at "just like Columbus Day." Also, there is no ####ing continuity between the pre-Christian religion(s) of Ireland and your religion, nor are there many (if any) even superficial similarities.

St. Patrick's Day is probably my least favorite holiday, if only because people start trotting out garbage like that. Also, today I saw someone on Facebook insist that imitating a brogue on St. Patrick's Day is the same level of offensive as imitating "ebonics."
