Guess which one of these is the most serious problem

1. There are two new varieties of coffee in the department coffee machine. They are both just as terrible as the old ones.

2. The vending machine in the basement now charges 1.15 for M&Ms instead of 1.00.

3. I don't have a viable dissertation topic.

Judging from the coffee battles I see at work, I go for number 1. Coffee is serious business.

Well, it's not *worse* than it used to be, just no better, in spite of the fancy new names!

I'm feeling anxious, and after the professor told me "well, this might work, but you need to do more research and figure out what the state of the question is." And as I started to do that, I realized that it won't work. So back to the drawing board/panic.
