An epiphany
Jun. 29th, 2005 10:25 pmI know my parents are less than thrilled that I'm spending so much time online this summer. And they're right: why do I waste so many hours on here, on sheroes, on deleterius? Why am I throwing away to much time?
But tonight I realized why. I have exactly two friends. One lives on the other end of the country and is on vacation in Hawaii. The other is on vacation in Italy. I don't have anyone to call up and talk to, or to hang out with. My brother is in summer school and is busy with his friends most of the day. My only connection to other people is the internet.
How pathetic. How utterly pathetic.

Date: 2005-07-22 06:22 am (UTC)Until you fall in love with someone you met on the internet, you cannot even begin to speak on it. Unless you have. In which case, you can muse, but you're still wrong. :P
Why?
Because I said so!
At least you do something when you're online. I read comics, surf Fark, and look at pretty pictures. And talk with some of my friends, if they're awake or home from work. You write stuff, even if it's silly or whatever (although I don't know whether it's serious or not; I'm just saying).
