Richard III

Today, my friends, is a fairly important anniversary.

In 1483, on July 6, Richard Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester, was crowned Richard III of England. He would only reign for a little more than two years, before being killed through treachery at the Battle of Bosworth Field.

Today, however, that is less important. We can celebrate, for one should celebrate coronations. Unfortunately, 'I am not in the celebrating vein, to-day,' (if one can be forgiven for paraphrasing Shakespeare's Tudor propaganda play.)

Later…
Got an e-mail back from the cello professor. I should be preparing a concerto movement and some Bach. I've been doing Popper. I am so royally screwed. And, it seems, if I want to have lessons, I'll have to declare as a music major. Okay. So from now on I'm a music major. Which is what I wanted, isn't it? Isn't it?

I'm sorry you don't feel like celebrating. Hope everything's going better this afternoon.

*hugs*

Speaking of Shakespeare...have you seen The Merchant of Venice yet? If not, then do you want to rent it and watch it together sometime soon?

Sort of, no, and yes!

Just remember, my friend:

You can always change your major!

Just... don't do it when you're a senior. Or maybe a junior. Then it's just awkward. Can't graduate without the right credits, after all.
