We watched a short entitled "Pol Pot's Birthday" today in L&T. It was… odd. Okay, so it was pretty funny. Pol Pot's office staff decide to throw him a birthday party. But it was not a humerous piece. Which is to say that it was pretty darn funny, but in a dark way. Yeah, we laugh at the various interns who quietly stand up from their hiding places behind their desks and mutter "surprise," but the point of the whole thing was not lost: brutal dictators do not make for exhuberant work environments.

Which makes me wonder, of course, what would happen at Voldemort's birthday party?
