I have no self-control.

Whatsoever.
So I went to the Salvaged Office Supply room today to look for twine, because I had a vague idea that I wanted some twine, although I couldn't remember for what. I was also needing somewhere to go, as I had skipped out on the last ten minutes of my practice reservation, and was feeling rather low. (I have just achieved one hitherto unconscious goals: to use the phrase "rather low" to describe my emotional state.)
Anyway, they did not have any twine. They did, however, have several shelves of books. And it's all free. Free! Which is why I am now the possessor of a translation of Marisilius of Padua's Defensor Pacis, Culture and Society in Lucian, Giordino Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition, The Wakefield Pageants in the Townely Cycle (sadly missing most of Magnus Herodes), and English Literary Criticism: The Renaissance. Am I ever going to read any of this? (I'm already reading 2-3 things for "fun" reading, and am about to add a fourth). Well, maybe. Some of it. And it was free…!
On the other hand, I also got School for Scandal and Shadows on the Rock. And some madrigal sheet music.
There were all the parts of Judas Maccabeus. I was tempted, because, I mean, all the orchestra/vocal/organ parts to an oratorio! But then what the heck would I do with that? So I restrained myself. But maybe I'll go back tomorrow.
