is in less than two weeks. I am so screwed.

Also, my program notes run almost 2000 words. And include discussion of French cultural politics during WWI, random theories about allegory in the cello suites, and original research/analysis of Phaedrus and Seneca in relation to the dedication of Beethoven's Op. 69. In other words: they are awesome, but D. will probably hate them

I think your program notes sound amazing.

And whatever you do, you should keep the analysis of Phaedrus and Seneca.

Are you the only one on the program, or do you have to share it? Because really, if it's your concert, why can't you put as much information in your program notes as you want?!

Well, my teacher might think that 2000 words (~3-4 pages, single spaced) is excessive, since the music takes less than an hour to play.
