some weird things

-A HP fanfic that I wrote a couple years ago seems to have been translated into Russian, although the site where the translation was hosted is now down (although not impermeable to the miracles of google-cache). Reading a telephone-ish translation of a translation of some not terribly great writing of yours is also a bit creepy.
-Lucretius knows far too much about mutilating eyes. I realize that sight vs. blindness is a big deal in De Rerum Natura, and very much so in the book on the mortality of the soul, but three extensive descriptions or destroying/putting out eyes is a little excessive, isn't it.
